NYRR Japan Run

It was cold and dreary this past Sunday morning, but The Firm awoke early and headed to Central Park in high spirits for the 2016 NYRR Japan Run ( 4 Miles ). This would be the first race back for both Connor and Erik since the Boston Marathon a little over three weeks ago, so expectations were simply on achieving a solid day of training.

Cruising through Central Park, Erik and Connor did a fine job of keeping things in check and seeing where their fitness lies post Boston. Connor would lead the charge with a 6th place and 21:34 performance, while Erik was not too far behind in 9th place with a time of 22:00. Below you can find some short recaps of their races and an inside look at their logs from the race.

Sunday’s efforts were certainly solid rust busters for both guys and really helps give us a good picture of what we need to work on. With the noses to the grindstone for the next few weeks, we will be out on the streets of NYC chasing after PRs on May 21st at the always competitive Brookyln Half Marathon!
